Amid conflict in Iran, a Muslim man threatens to murder Ohioans ‘in the name of Allah’

Amid the ongoing conflict in Iran targeting the Islamic regime that wants to destroy the United States, a Muslim in Ohio tried to murder Americans “in the name of Allah.”

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office told Fox 19 that a Cincinnati man was arrested after standing outside a Franklin Township home with a knife, hoping to murder a man “in the name of Allah.”

Records from the sheriff’s office, obtained by Fox 19, showed that after deputies were called to a home just before 1:30 a.m. on April 5, on reports of a suspicious person, Anthony Tyrone Jessie Long, 23, was taken into custody and charged with aggravated menacing and aggravated trespassing.

According to a woman, Long was walking around the front of the property and knocking on the door while holding a knife and threatening to kill her husband “in the name of Allah,” according to Fox 19. After she arrived in the driveway, Long chased after the couple’s daughter, who was able to get away. Long then escaped the scene in a car.

All of the crimes were captured on the surveillance footage, which the victims showed to the deputies, according to the news source.

Soon after that, Clearcreek police were able to apprehend Long and bring him to the police station after an anonymous person called 911 to report a driver who had been following them and trying to ram their car, according to the news source.

Long was then taken to the Warren County Jail, where he is being held on a $1,500 cash-only bond for the Clearcreek charge, in addition to a $75,000 bond for the Franklin Township charge.

The recent attack by a Muslim came after President Donald Trump launched a preemptive strike against Iran, partially to prevent terrorist actions against the United States.

“For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted Death to America and waged an unending campaign of bloodshed and mass murder, targeting the United States, our troops and the innocent people in many, many countries,” Trump said, according to PBS.

Vice President JD Vance also threatened Iran by saying they have two options: to stop funding terrorism and prosper economically, or not do that and suffer economically, according to Fox News.

“They’re not going to fund terrorism anymore. They’re going to be part of the world system of commerce and exchange,” Vance said. “And that’s going to mean much better things for them economically. It’s going to mean better things for the peace and safety of the world. It’s going to mean a lot of good things for a lot of people all over the planet.”

U.S. Sens. Bernie Moreno, R-Ohio, and Jon Husted, R-Ohio, supported Trump’s war against Iran, repeating the same talking points about Iran being the sponsor of terrorism all around the world, according to Moreno’s posts and WLWT.

U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio, was the only Democrat from the Buckeye State in Washington, D.C., who supported the attack on Iran, according to a release.

At the state level, Republican Gov. Mike DeWine said that “the regime in Iran was a horrible regime,” according to The Ohio Capital Journal.

“These are ruthless, horrible people who are killing thousands of their own people because they wanted to demonstrate that. They wanted to make their voices heard. No one should shed any tears for the people in the leadership of the country who were killed,” he told the outlet.
