Undercover video shows Ohio Dem canvassers being taught to lie to voters about Flock cameras
While the widespread use of Flock cameras continues to spark debate across the state and country, Ohio Democrats appear poised to tell voters their candidates oppose the cameras, even if they don’t.
During an Aug. 6 Ohio Wins training event, “Where Improv and Canvassing Collide,” volunteers participated in a role-playing session for how they might interact with a voter on the
“How do you feel about the Flock cameras?” Krista Snider asks during the Aug. 6 event.
“I hate it,” another volunteer, identified only as Leo, responds.
“You hate them? I do too, and I know that Sherrod Brown is working to make sure that they’re used in a responsible way — or at least, at least, are taken down,” Snider responded. “But I will take your concerns back to him because the more he hears of people that they hate them, the better it is.
“And then you could vote for Sherrod and Marcy and Amy Acton — they’re all the folks that don’t like the Flock cameras. They’re the Democrats, and you could vote for all the Democrats up and down the ballot.
“Try to be as personable, in that I’m talking to Sherrod myself,” Field Organizer Harrison Crone said. “We’re not.”

Brown is facing a tough election in his bid to unseat Republican U.S. Sen. Jon Husted, a race that could help decide who controls the U.S. Senate. Polls show a tight race, with Brown holding a slight advantage, though within the margin of error.
Brown previously served in the U.S. Senate, but voters voted him out in 2024. Now, he’s trying to play up his moderate bona fides, but his record, past statements, and fundraising efforts paint a different picture.
The leaked video appears to be at least the third one from Ohio Wins, including one Ohio.News published showing a Democratic field organizer telling canvassing training participants to “spitball and improvise” when confronted with a question they don’t know how to answer.
Another video, obtained by TownHall, shows activists laughing about elderly members of Congress, including one whose seat could determine who holds the majority in the U.S. House.
The Ohio Democratic Party launched Ohio Wins in May to mobilize in all 88 counties.
