AIM: Undercover shows Fremont City Schools staffer allowing ‘transgender’ students to join girls’ athletics
A staff member at Fremont City Schools told an undercover journalist that the school could accept conflicting birth certificates and affirmed that a boy who “identifies” as a girl could participate in girls’ sports, according to a newly released video from Accuracy in Media.
The action would seem to violate Ohio state law prohibiting males from competing in female athletics.
The latest footage shows AIM’s undercover journalist presenting herself as the older sister of a 13-year-old boy who claims to be a “transgender girl” who wants her “sibling” to enroll the student in the school.
Early in the discussion with Amy Purney, the assistant to human resources at Fremont City Schools, the journalist mentions that her “sibling” is “transgender,” asking which birth certificate she should submit to the school officials: an “original” birth certificate or an “amended” one that reflects the “gender transition.”
“We’ll do both of them. We’ll just cover all,” Purney said. “Yes, not a problem.”
The journalist then said that she and her “husband” want to keep the student in athletics, implying that it is girls’ sports.
“Sure, you bet,” Purney said. “We have other kiddos. I know we do.”
The journalist then asks whether they need to inform the other parents that the boy is allowed to compete against girls, and Purney says, “I don’t think so.”
“Since the current administration took over – I mean, not at the schools, as I inwardly eyeball – I know a student personally at the school that has transitioned and has not come out,” Purney said.
The journalist then claimed that “it’s the crazy MAGA parents that make it impossible,” and Purney agreed, highlighting her left-wing political beliefs and anti-Trump position once again.
Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, told Ohio.News it is clear that some school leaders are more focused on politics and the children in their care.
“Ohio parents should pull their children from traditional K-12 schools tomorrow,” he told Ohio.News in a statement. “Our team of investigators has been to dozens of districts around the state over the course of several years, and it’s abundantly clear that the radicals who run Ohio schools care far more about their radical politics than about the safety, privacy, and education of children.”
The investigation by Accuracy in Media is just the latest discovery of Ohio school officials rebelling against state law to seemingly push left-wing ideology in school districts, including in Dayton, Springfield, Norwood, Princeton, Reading and Three Rivers.
“This type of arrogance from school officials is not uncommon,” Accuracy in Media previously said. “Many left-leaning employees in education believe that they know better than a child’s parents, based on their political beliefs.”
