Another Ohio school official caught secretly pushing transgender ideology
An official in one of the Ohio schools has recently been exposed for secretly pushing the transgender ideology in schools by allowing males to participate in female sports.
A video by an undercover journalist at the nonprofit Accuracy in Media revealed that Jodi Zunk, the assistant principal and athletic director of Eastwood Middle School in Pemberville, Ohio, is “very left-leaning” and that the new laws “have been a struggle for [her].”
According to the administrator, before these regulations and laws were passed in 2024, students who identify as “transgender” were able to be a part of any team that they wanted.
The journalist said that she has a sibling who looks like a female, adding that she had an adoptive birth certificate. Zunk suggested that it would be better not to tell anybody, saying that “the less people that know, the better.”
Zunk also said that she is an “ally,” assuring the journalist that the school’s staff will be “100% on her side,” even though Pemberville is a “small conservative” town, populated with “Trumpers.”
“This type of arrogance from school officials is not uncommon. Many left-leaning employees in education believe that they know better than a child’s parents, based on their political beliefs,” the nonprofit said.
It wasn’t the first time that school officials in the Buckeye State tried to push the transgender ideology secretly.
Accuracy in Media previously released videos of employees in school districts of Dayton, Springfield, Norwood, Princeton, Reading and Three Rivers trying to help the undercover journalists to break the state law.
“The district takes this matter seriously,” the Dayton School District told Ohio.News in a statement. “Upon reviewing the full context of the interaction, including subsequent communications that occurred, we believe the video has been very selectively edited with key details omitted.”
Last year, Ohio lawmakers overrode a veto from Republican Gov. Mike DeWine to pass House Bill 68, the Save Women’s Sports Act and the Ohio SAFE Act. The bill prevented males from competing in female-only sports and prohibited “gender-affirming medical care” for LGBTQ+ youth in Ohio, including puberty blockers and hormone therapy.
Additionally, DeWine signed Senate Bill 104, the Protect All Students Act, which required Ohio’s primary and secondary schools and higher education institutions to designate restrooms for use only by biological males or females.
“They think they could do whatever they’d like and spend our tax dollars pushing whatever agenda they’ve got, and that we have no recourse at all,” Adam Guillette, president of Accuracy in Media, told Ohio.News. “They think they’re beyond reproach. The law means nothing to them. I feel like they’re evangelicals in their mission to push their ideology.”
