Ohio.News Exclusive: President Trump heading to Ohio week before election

President Donald Trump is set to campaign in Chillicothe on Wednesday as part of a push to encourage Ohioans to head to the polls in a series of races that could determine who controls the U.S. House, U.S. Senate and the governor’s office.

Those races include the governor’s race pitting entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy against Amy Acton, the state’s former public health director who quit amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Republican U.S. Sen. Jon Husted is locked in a tight contest with former Democratic Sen. Sherrod Brown. Voters sent Brown packing two years ago, and Husted, the state’s former lieutenant governor was appointed to fill the seat, which Vice President JD Vance previously held.

In another closely watched race Republican Eric Conroy is hoping to unseat Democratic U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman.

Polls show all three races to be tight. Political insiders tell Ohio.News they are optimistic about their chances, citing internal polling.

However, they concede it all comes down to voter turnout.
