Report: Ohio State offers 20 LGBT courses for summer and fall 2026
The Ohio State University continued its track record of scandals by introducing multiple LGBT-related courses for the summer and fall of 2026 in its Department of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, according to a new report.
The WGSS at Ohio State recently published a list of 20 undergraduate courses that push the left-wing ideology onto students, with four of these courses already being taught during this year’s summer semester, Campus Reform reported.
“Gender, Sex, and Power” is the only class publicly available online, according to the news source.
Abigail Corcoran, a PhD student in the department and the course’s instructor, provided the course description, goals, and learning outcomes for WGSS 111 in her syllabus video on her YouTube channel, where she also publishes course lectures.
“We will think about the ways that the gender categories are often enforced…and understand the various ways in which people’s lives are impacted and informed by dominant assumptions,” the description said, according to the news source.
One of the learning outcomes also said that throughout the course, “students apply feminist analysis to self-reflection and self-recognition with systems of power.”
The Ohio State also provides a list of previous, current, and upcoming courses in the WGSS department, with each course including a general description that includes the instructor, course title, and what students will learn.
For example, the description for WGSS 2260, also called “Queer Ecologies: Gender, Sexuality, & the Environment,” said that students will “explore how queer ecologies seek to disrupt the gendered and heterosexual assumptions embedded in how we understand the environment.”
According to the description of WGSST 2306, titled “Girlhood,” students who take the course would “examine the contemporary contexts and social differences of female, femme, trans & nonbinary adolescence at the crossroads of race, ethnicity, location, sexuality, and class.”
The list also features many other courses related to female writers, black female writers, “health and inequality,” the perspective of feminists on gambling, and many other courses on how “gender” relates to topics such as food, law, film, sexuality, race, and Arabic literature.
For complete newsbies, the department also offers a course this fall semester – WGSST 2282, also called Introduction to LGBTQ+ Studies.
It wasn’t the first time Ohio State had offered left-wing classes. The university previously required its students studying to be teachers to pass a Marxist course.
Accuracy In Media previously said it previously caught the university promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives despite Senate Bill 1, passed at the end of last year, prohibiting Ohio colleges and universities from doing so. In a follow-up, the group said Ohio State trustees have refused to say whether the university still pushes DEI on the campus.
